At the beginning I wanted to make a techno track so I’ve started playing around with some polyrhythms. At a certain point I had some beautiful hypnotic melodies but I was a little stuck on the progression and I felt like there was so much space for more frequencies that I wasn’t using, so I’ve changed some of those melodies in to chord progressions. It was kind of a revelation, those sad hypnotic melodies was perfect for some heavy dub fx, the final result was one of the meanest darkest dub techno tracks I have ever produced so I’ve repeated the process 3 more times.
